We booked and paid for a Panoramic Suite through *******. The listing photos showed a large queen bed, a separate living room with sofa bed, and a corner bathtub which is exactly why we chose this hotel for our honeymoon. When we checked in, we were told the panoramic room was “under repair” and were put into a standard economy room instead. We were told to come back the next day and it would be fixed. The next day, we were told it was still not available and nothing could be done. The only compensation offered was a free dinner. The room we were given was very small with two twin beds, which was not what was advertised or booked especially awkward for a honeymoon. Our luggage took up most of the room. The photos on ******* for the Panoramic Suite do not match what we received. When ******* contacted the hotel about this, the hotel told ******* that the “correct room was provided,” even though it clearly was not and we had provided photos showing the difference. Because of that, ******* refused to issue a refund. The food at the hotel restaurant was good, which was the one bright spot. However, the area outside the hotel is very noisy and dirty, with constant honking through the night. If you book a premium room here, be aware that you may not actually receive it. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch on room category.
I and my wife stayed at the hotel for 5 days/nights. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The views of the Pyramids from the Hotel is great. From the terrace restaurant it is even better. The staff is very good and friendly. Great value for money.
The welcoming was great, Omar and Ahmed were so helpful to us at the reception, Ahmed showed us the room and terrace, they made coffee for us and we had a good conversation. At the breakfast Koko served us a beautiful, tasty breakfast which was better than we expected. The view at the rooftop is gorgeous. You can get your drink at the terrace and enjoy your time at the view of pyramids. At any time they were so helpful. Muhammed at the reception was eager to help us any time. They even offered us free ride. The room was clean and comfortable with ac, safe box, tv and mini fridge. If you want to feel like home and also being served professionally, this is the right stop.
We had the best time at this hotel! Our room was big with a wonderful jacuzzi with a view of the pyramids. The roof top terrace was Amazing, with amazing breakfast every morning. The chef is not only an amazing cook, but also a wonderful person. All the staff went out of their way to help us in every way possible. Fady our driver we spent the most time with and he went above and beyond his job description and did everything possible to make us have the best possible vacation and he succeeded in every way possible. We had the best experience in Egypt and hope to visit again in the future.
Had such a great stay at Rixos! Our favorite was the morning breakfasts on the roof, with our wonderful server Cucú (Kookoo) who would make it such a great experience. Staff was friendly and very helpful, beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and maintained well. Our room had the pyramid views that were priceless! We booked this hotel because it was close to our venue at the Giza pyramids, don’t expect luxury surroundings. You get to experience the real Egypt amongst the locals, in the daytime this street is filled w busy markets and movements of day to day life out here. We enjoyed our experience here at Rixos and would stay again. Thank you!
